Silence & Noise Strong Shoulder Dress
Except for the fact that I think I am beginning to get a little bit of a jelly roll! Shut up. You just said HELLS NAH didn’t you? I know! But I’ll tell you this, at least I’m being honest and will probably buy it and not wear it as a little bit of an incentive to work towards. My stomach isn’t as flat as it used to be. After getting back from Hawaii, being in school and the new job; everything went downhill. It’s my food shovelin’-no workin’ out-beer guzzlin’-lala puffin’ fault. I know this, but at least I’m not THAT girl who made the fashion boody-do (not that it ever will be bigger than my ass but i’m just sayin’) nono. The upside, if I were to buy this right now, I know that in 3 weeks I’ll be good to go. Scary right? To know that I can get back to the way things used to be quickly. Good things don’t last forever Jenn, and a woman’s metabolism sure isn’t one of them.

I am still laughing over this movie. Funny. Two thumbs up. Highly recommended by me. Thinking about watching it again soon. If it wasn’t all that I hyped it up to be, you are broken and good night to you.

Here are some photos from Vogue Paris‘ “Graffi-Couture” editorial spread featuring Raquel Zimmerman. This was shot by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Emmanuelle Alt. Guess who’s work made an appearance? KAWS. Very exciting. Very cool.

Big Boi - Shine Blockas ft. Gucci Mane
I need to post more about music. I’ve been seriously not into this genre of music lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of Metal, Indie Rock and early old school Madonna, but damn. I am a huge Big Boi fan, and this Gucci is growing on me. I’m not too sure if I like the song or if I just like hearing Big Boi’s voice ride the beat. Actually it’s the beat. But I can see this chorus being a good one for a dj to sneak into HER mix, most def a cruising track. A fun track none the less.

Designer Aya Furuhashi showed a collection of deconstructed Victorian-style pieces. Lace and ruffle back bustles, bloomers and petticoats were juxtaposed with frayed edges, cotton rope trim, cropped jackets and playful proportions.

A new and amazing beauty product TATCHA just released on the market in September. A friend of mine is the Marketing Manager for said company. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a nice little package via snail mail.

TATCHA - It's the small things that count, blotting papers wrapped in nice recycled gold leaf paper.
If you do use blotting papers, I think it’s time to make the switch over to a gold leafed wonder of amazement. Save yourself the embarrassment. Don’t get caught shining. HA, in the bad way of course.
I, personally have neither oily or dry skin. I’m considered ‘normal’. However, there is a certain time during the month where my face produces a little more oil than normal. I thought that it would be a great time to test them out during those three days. Low and behold! TATCHA did what it was supposed to do and then some. Relieved my (especially around my nose) skin of oil and shine.

TATCHA - Adding different touches of color is always a plus, I favor the neon-melon.
Another great feature is that you aren’t limited to use them just when you are out and about. They work so well before putting makeup on. I like to use them after my face is cleansed, toned, moisturized and primed. Just to give my face a matte look before applying anything. Plus I am pretty sure that my makeup coverage lasted longer through out the day with out a second application. For your type of skin, check out their website for direction/usage.

TATCHA
I also like the extra touch of the gold leaf flake in it. If you’ve used blotting papers before, you know that they are the basic run of the mill, plain Jane papers. I would have to say that these are the crème de la crème in it’s market.
With price points that are definitely not going to break the bank, I think that these are most def stamped with the seal of a recommendation of approval.
TATCHA IS BRAND NEW WITH AN OLD SOUL….
Here are some of the company’s beliefs:
- …in Leonardo DaVinci’s observation that “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.
- …that the best beauty secrets are still out there waiting to be discovered by the modern world.
- …that true quality comes from the history of each product and expertise of the craftsmen that make them.
Here are some of the company’s promises:
- We will search the world over for true beauty secrets that have withstood the test of time.
- We will personally travel to the source for every product we carry to ensure that the communities and environment are treated with the utmost care.
- We will bring our customers authentic products that simplify and beautify.

It’s nice to know that Dr. Martens has plopped their first pop-up shop in Seattle. Good and bad news for me…I am still debating if I want the liberty print on black joints or not. Anyway, thanks to Publikhair for posting it (at least I’m giving you cred for me lifting it). To view more pictures of the store peep here.

I know I’m late! However, I did say via Twitter that I would do a post of my top favs from Spring/Summer 2010 shows (see post below ). When it comes to Chanel, all goes out the window and of course dear Uncle Karl + team’s hard work deserves a solo post.
