Kyle and I had a conversation last week about how I don’t write or blog about him here or other places I write. My natural response and most straightforward answer was that “I want to keep my private life private.” But, why? This is going to sound so damn corny and not like me, but I want the world to know how I am so much in love. I’ve never been this joyful, this comfortable, honest, content, at ease, satisfied and willing to sacrifice and compromise. I’ve always been quite self-seeking and now I strive to be altruistic, I never cared if past boyfriends were happy or not. I guess I wasn’t really ready, but now seeing him happy is the best sensation.

I am also a non-trusting person. This is because I’ve done my fair share of being “the bad guy” in relationships. Deceitful and doing as I pleased. So because of my ways, it led me to not trust boyfriends. Sounds psycho? Pretty much, but it worked in a short-term sense. I never had to get too close, a lame methodical way of self-sabotage. Anyway, I have never felt I could fully trust anyone, until now. I feel 100% confident in our relationship and in him that we have something. My heart feels at ease and feels whole. So happy I never did this for anyone else. Well, I did this for me and for him more than willingly. So happy for all of those failed past relationships, they taught me how to grow and evaluate. I’m also very thankful for that solid year and a bit of being single. That was great! I learned so much about myself. I feel that when you are good within yourself you will naturally attract good. It happened.

Our relationship is something unique and I tear up often because I’m so happy, fortunate and amazed. I didn’t want a relationship, I was totally fine with being single while dating men here and there. That was until I met Kyle. I never quickly cut ties off with other men when I meet a new one, but there was really something special about him.  I quickly stop seeing and talking to other men, really put my focus on him. That’s how I knew one way. Another reason how I knew was that I didn’t play games, I kept it real because I felt like he wasn’t disposable. He’s irreplaceable and I look forward to tomorrow, next week, month, year, decades and lifetime.  I now feel and know that this is what people talk about, this is what they were talking about when “you know”.  So clear, so natural and real.  He loves me and I love him. He’s the one. <3

Working Girl Part Deux.

I find that Mondays are the hardest day of the week to get dressed. Today’s look will set the mood for your whole week, so be cautious as to what you are putting yourself in, being anything less than fabulous could be hazardous to your fashion fueled week.

This would be a look I would wear, very comfortable, masculine yet feminine and chic. I’d wear this with a top knot bun, heavy liquid eyeliner and a nude lip with high gloss. Blush heavy as always .  I would do the top knot bun to expose the feminine side of the hanging earring. Simple, elegance.

Now I know you’re wondering why the sock? You may not even see it, well just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Trust me, someone will see them. Sitting cross legged at lunch? Taking a client for coffee? Your co-workers? When dressing, the smallest details like a polka dotted sock can really finish, complete the look. I would even take it a step further and roll the trouser up one cuff so you can see the surging, and so everyone can see the socks.

I have watched this three times. This is what I aspire to be when I am an older woman. These women have style, have grace and a real natural knowledge of fashion.  I am really in love with Iris Apfel, I want to hug her and have her as a mentor. One thing I kept asking was “what’s it like in their closets and accessory dressers?” Could you imagine?  Pure glee and nothing short of it I am sure.

Yes, I know this happened days ago, but I just read something that made my lid flip. Read this via HighSnobette:

Somewhere in the building above, Lenox Hill Hospital, located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Beyonce is hanging out with her new baby girl, whose name is Blue Ivy Carter (as confirmed by Gwyneth Paltrow on Twitter). The middle name we have to guess is a shout out to Bee’s special number, four, with Ivy a phonetic stand in for roman numeral IV. And numeorlogically speaking 01/07/2012 also adds up to 4 and supposedly it was a scheduled c-section so….. maybe a coincidence but maybe not.

I say not a coincidence, something freakishly non coincidental about this. Singing Run the World (Girls).

At any rate, do people even care? I think the biggest question is that if lil’ baby Blue Ivy is going to grow up and look like a dinosaur like her pops. Ok ok, so Jay isn’t a handsome dude, we all know that, but I had to say it. I am excited to see images and to see who she will grow up to be. I mean, c’mon her parents have dominated their game, their craft and it will be interesting to see what route lil’ B.I. goes on.

I love seeing the LULZ of faux Twitter accounts being made. That shit cray, that shit cray. So why wouldn’t Blue Ivy have a faux Twitter too?

Anyway, which brings me to my final thought. I believe that a majority of celebrities do a decent job at keeping their children out of the private eye. What are you thoughts? Children growing up in the gleam of mum and pop’s spotlight? Growing up under a microscope?
