I have watched this three times. This is what I aspire to be when I am an older woman. These women have style, have grace and a real natural knowledge of fashion.  I am really in love with Iris Apfel, I want to hug her and have her as a mentor. One thing I kept asking was “what’s it like in their closets and accessory dressers?” Could you imagine?  Pure glee and nothing short of it I am sure.

Yes, I know this happened days ago, but I just read something that made my lid flip. Read this via HighSnobette:

Somewhere in the building above, Lenox Hill Hospital, located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Beyonce is hanging out with her new baby girl, whose name is Blue Ivy Carter (as confirmed by Gwyneth Paltrow on Twitter). The middle name we have to guess is a shout out to Bee’s special number, four, with Ivy a phonetic stand in for roman numeral IV. And numeorlogically speaking 01/07/2012 also adds up to 4 and supposedly it was a scheduled c-section so….. maybe a coincidence but maybe not.

I say not a coincidence, something freakishly non coincidental about this. Singing Run the World (Girls).

At any rate, do people even care? I think the biggest question is that if lil’ baby Blue Ivy is going to grow up and look like a dinosaur like her pops. Ok ok, so Jay isn’t a handsome dude, we all know that, but I had to say it. I am excited to see images and to see who she will grow up to be. I mean, c’mon her parents have dominated their game, their craft and it will be interesting to see what route lil’ B.I. goes on.

I love seeing the LULZ of faux Twitter accounts being made. That shit cray, that shit cray. So why wouldn’t Blue Ivy have a faux Twitter too?

Anyway, which brings me to my final thought. I believe that a majority of celebrities do a decent job at keeping their children out of the private eye. What are you thoughts? Children growing up in the gleam of mum and pop’s spotlight? Growing up under a microscope?

I feel like I should be impressed by imposters, but straight swagger jacking-dick riding-non creative hoes need to NOT. Do you not have one concrete idea that is your own?

If you are a Twitter follower of mine, then you most likely know of my recent kidney wrath. I had kidney stones years ago and was then diagnosed with Hyperparathyroidism. Which lead to numerous Lithotripsies (4), stents (3), more stones and a removal of a parathyroid gland which was supposed to normally be the size of a grain of rice, but mine was all jacked and the size of a grape.  Spooky, eh? Everything was going normal for years until 2 years ago when the bad kidney (leftsies) was all sorts of hurty every now and then. I would naturally let the pain pass and cure it with natural, home treatments such as Dandelion Tea, Cranberry pills, water, fresh squeezed lemon water and the pain would pass and I would carry on naturally.

Let’s fast forward to three weeks ago. Constant kidney pain, in both kidneys. I of course try and treat this on my own at home, and finally on the 5^th day I have to go into the ER. I cannot take the constant pain/pressure on my kidneys, waking up in the middle of the night from excruciating bone and kidney pains. I just could not take it. It really is such a horrifying feeling to imagine going through the nightmare of what had happened before. What brought on my initial run in with stones was from too much calcium, or rather, whatever amount I did have in my system my body couldn’t regulate it. So then I got stoned. HA.

So I end up having to stay overnight at the hospital. A CT scan and an Ultrasound of my kidneys, a ton of Morphine and the worst sleep I’ve had in ages…my kidneys came out to be “just fine”. There was damage from before, but then there were places on the kidney that they “didn’t see”. However, the pain was still there. I was sent home with a prescription for pain meds. I get home and later that evening I pass stones. THE FUCK!? So I’m catching my own stones, saving them for when I have a follow up with my doctor. Then I was put on alpha-blockers which help loosen up muscles around the kidney to allow stones to pass.

Kidney pains are not a joke. Scary business. The picture above is a stuffed kidney from “Lamby” made by IHeartGuts. Super sweet. I’m feeling better now, but the thought is in the back of my mind. Will I always be 100% Hyperparathyroidism free? We’ll see at the next follow up. And so the saga continues….

DJ and Producer Mehdi passed away September 13th 2011. Cause still “unknown” though rumors are afloat about it being an accident of a roof collapsing. Either way, the Ed Banger member of multiple talents will forever be missed.

I will say this, I’ve had the pleasure and honor of seeing Mehdi 4 times in my life. Every time was amazing. Packed house and amazing sets. My heart goes out to wife Fafi and daughter. Also the whole Ed Banger crew.
